While promoting diversity and culture in the fashion industry, Jersey City Fashion Forward combines all facets of fashion, art, and philanthropy in order to raise awareness and benefit a deserving charity in the community.
We are here to create global recognition of the fashion culture within the Jersey City community and empower upcoming designers, make-up artists, photographers and models along with our guests through each show. Within every show one struts with synergy.
Shirley Capaldo has been a Jersey City resident for over a decade. She continues to provide leadership by partnering with a plethora of community service initiatives; which include being a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters, a Board Trustee for the Family Metropolitan Health Network, an advocate for American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and a County Committee Member for her district. She has received Congressional, Assembly and Jersey City wide recognition for her community involvement and leadership.
As an experienced event planner and professional model Her latest vision is Jersey City Fashion Forward. A company that produces community based high end fashion shows to fill a void for aspiring designers, models, stylists, make-up artists and photographers while promoting diversity, culture and philanthropy.
Along with promoting diversity, we are about giving back to the same community that supports us. Every fashion show we base our theme on a selected local non-profit we benefit and raise awareness for as well as recognizing local community leaders. This past May 2019 we benefitted the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's North Jersey Chapter.
